“OPEN CALL
to our community of
Artists & Musicians

“Open Call” for our Virtual Exhibition is live!

We won’t be celebrating this year with our traditional GALA! Reception & live Silent Auction.  And we won’t be able to present all the fabulous artistic talent hanging or on display in our Student and Fine Art Galleries.  We won’t be able to shop in person for gifts and one of a kind art during our 2-day Artisan Show.

But we can do our best to bring this to you online.

Beginning October, 2020 and for the entire month, we will introduce artists and musicians with the opportunity to display their work in our virtual “Art Gallery”and on our virtual “Music Stage.”  Beginning soon, we will send out our “Open Call.”

Also, during the month of October, we will bring you our very popular Silent Auction, this year also a virtual event.  Watch for more information on that over the summer.

How things have changed?

COVID-19 forced us to rethink 2020. For everyone’s safety, we won’t be enjoying in person, the amazing art of so many who apply every year.

Don’t be discouraged.  We hope you will apply to share your work in our Virtual Exhibition.  With the virtual format, there are no capacity limitations.  The more who apply,  the better!

We will be featuring a
virtual “Music Stage”

The onset of digital music has had a debilitating effect on the recording industry and the income of professional music artists. At the same time, it is allowing lesser known musicians to create studio-quality recordings at home and to build an audience outside of traditional distribution channels. The virtual Music Stage at the Charbonneau Festival of the Arts will be a place where performers from across Oregon can share their creative works with people who enjoy jazz and classical music.

Our Student Art Gallery

But most important, we hope that our local high schools, despite COVID-19 will be able to participate.  We will for certain include any projects the high schools have published.  Afterall, that is why we do this.  We are putting out our “Open Call” to Wilsonville High School and Canby High School.

And of course, our Silent Auction
will be going “Virtual.”

We are hopeful that our donors will be able to contribute in some way again this year, despite the times.  The good news is that bidding will be open to ALL who register online.  We are not limited by how many can fit into the room.

More about that coming soon.
