Dear Festival Registrant:
Congratulations on your entry to participate in the Charbonneau Festival of that Arts. That is the good news. The not so happy news is with COVID-19 cases skyrocketing, the Board of Directors of Charbonneau Arts Association (CAA) decided to postpone the 38th Annual Charbonneau Festival of the Arts, “Art with Flair” from November 2021 to the new dates — June 3-5, 2022.
We see the postponement as disappointing, but with a silver lining. June is a better time of year for teachers and students, and snowbirds will be back from their desert homes. The better weather gives us the wonderful opportunity to expand our art galleries, artisan booths, student art, music stage, and silent auction to both inside and outside venues — more art and music for everyone! The postponement will also allow a broader collaboration with Wilsonville Arts and Culture Council, which has traditionally held their annual festival in June.
All Registrants Automatically Entered into the June Show
All who registered by the deadline will be entered into the June show without being juried in. Also, even though our fees may increase because of the potential for more event activities, your fees will not. You are grandfathered totally into the 2022 show.
Prior to the June event, we will be back in touch with you to update any information submitted in your original entry, such as the works you wish to display or to update your personal information. All live show entries are given free entry to the Virtual Exhibition, and so we will give you access to upload your photos there. If you only registered for the Virtual Exhibition, we will check with you again to confirm your selections. We are also grateful for your commitments to the Silent Auction which is our largest fundraiser. We will confirm if those items are still available prior to the June festival.
Of course, we hope you allow us to transfer your registration to 2022, but if you are not able to participate in the Charbonneau Festival of the Arts on June 3-4-5, 2022 for whatever reason, or if you have questions about the transition to 2022, please email Elaine Swyt, Site Administrator at email@example.com and we will be happy to answer your questions or if needed, work with you to cancel out your registration and return your fees.
Charbonneau Arts Association’s sole fundraising goal is to support arts education for students in Wilsonville and Canby. Funds raised during the festival have helped to support student participation in scholastic art competitions, attend professional gallery exhibitions, provide needed supplies, and support classroom experiences.
