This year’s festival will include both Live and Virtual Fine Art Gallery and Artisan Vendor Shows (booths), student artwork from area high schools, jazz music performances, and our always popular silent auction fundraiser. The Virtual Exhibition Show itself will extend through the summer. Fee information, requirements, and key dates are included on the registration pages but here are few important upfront facts:
Fine Artists have the option of exhibiting up to five (5) juried pieces in the Live Fine Art Gallery, participating in the festival gift store with packaged matted art and cards, and/or joining the Vendor Booth Show. This is a juried show. However, all who previously registered for the postponed November 2021 festival are exempt from jury and will be provided a coupon by separate email, also exempting them from further fees if registering for the same shows.

For those not able to show live, we offer the Virtual Exhibition Show Only where you will be able to submit up to twelve (12) photos to populate your online portfolio. The Virtual Exhibition Show will extend through to September 1, 2022.
Our Music Stage performers will appear live in the outdoor covered pavilion and throughout our festival venues and will feature area jazz musicians. We also are planning a Virtual Music Stage this year. See more.

Fine Art Gallery & Artisan Vendor Show
We are mixing up the best of both worlds LIVE on June 3-4-5 and VIRTUAL through August 2021.
We want to welcome all who joined us virtually in 2020 and add back our Live Show. We will present the amazing art of so many who apply every year to our live show, while still adhering to any social distancing requirements that help us keep safe AND welcome all artists to our virtual show. By also adding back the virtual element. where we met twice as many artists from Alaska to San Diego, we are able to geographically open our doors to creativity for a longer period. The 2022 Virtual Exhibition Show will remain online to September 1, 2022.
Emerging Artists
Charbonneau Arts Association invites adult art students to exhibit at the 38th Annual Charbonneau Festival of the Arts, June 3-5 at the Charbonneau Country Club in Wilsonville, Oregon. Each student artist may submit one framed painting for display as part of an “Emerging Artists” section in the Fine Art Gallery. Cost to display is $25.
The application is a simple online form and payment may be made at the same time using PayPal. Deadline to apply is May 1, 2022. In addition to the live gallery, the image you provide with your application will be included in our Virtual Gallery as well.
Our Student Art Gallery
But most important, we hope that our local high schools, despite COVID-19, will be able to participate. We will for certain include any projects the high schools have published and all that are available for live showing. Afterall, that is why we do this. We are putting out our “Open Call” to Wilsonville High School and Canby High School.
We will keep you updated about this show as we know more.
Jazz @ Charbonneau
The Live Stage
Jazz music is a growing and important part of the Charbonneau Festival of the Arts. In 2022 live jazz music will be featured on two stages throughout the weekend to provide ambience to the art exhibit and excitement to the festival experience for our attendees.
Soloists will perform alongside the main art exhibits. Larger combos will perform outdoors under the new covered pavilion. Food and drink are nearby and there is plenty of room for dancing should the groove move you.
The Pavilion will feature four performances on Saturday and three on Sunday. Musicians will perform in the Activity Center throughout the show.
The Virtual Music Stage
The very successful Virtual Music Stage returns in 2022. The Virtual Stage will feature pre-recorded audio and video performances of jazz musicians from the Oregon, including those performing on the Live Stage.
New in 2022: we are collaborating with writer, broadcaster and performer, Lynn Darroch. Lynn hosts the weekly radio show Bright Moments! on KMHD-89.1 FM. We are honored to be working with Lynn to create a gallery of jazz artists who make Oregon their home.
Our Silent Auction
will go live once again!
We are hopeful that our artists, artisans, and local business donors will be able to contribute in some way again this year. With everyone’s safety in mind, we plan to launch once again our very popular auction beginning at the Opening Night Celebration.
More about all this very soon.
