CHARBONNEAU FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS INVITES “EMERGING ARTISTS”
(Wilsonville, Oregon, April 6, 2022). Charbonneau Arts Association has announced the addition of an “Emerging Artists” entry category to the 38th Annual Charbonneau Festival of the Arts, June 3-4-5 at the Charbonneau Country Club in Wilsonville, Oregon. Adult art students are invited to exhibit one framed work of art in the “Emerging Artists” section of the Fine Art Gallery. The organizing committee decided to add the new category to encourage new artists who might be reluctant to apply to a juried show in competition with more experienced artists. The Emerging Artists entries will not be juried. All adult emerging artists are welcome to apply no later than May 1, 2022. The entry fee is $25. In addition to the live gallery, images of the emerging artists’ art will be included in this year’s Virtual Exhibition Gallery. The application and details for applying to the Emerging Artists Gallery can be found at: charbonneauarts.org
Charbonneau Arts Association’s sole fundraising goal is to support arts education for students in Wilsonville and Canby. Funds raised during the festival have helped to support student participation in scholastic art competitions, attend professional gallery exhibitions, provide needed supplies, and support classroom experiences. A list of sponsors can be found on the Charbonneau Arts website.
