Student Art Entry: The Pandemic Art Project

Charbonneau Festival of the Arts 2020 is not able to present a live art show, as it has for over 36 years, due to COVID-19.  We could have cancelled, but chose instead to do all we could to take the show virtual to raise the funds for our local high schools.  “Art with Flair – The Virtual Exhibition” will be presenting artists and musicians, showcasing special projects and more.  We also plan to showcase the video shows from each high school, already presented on our website.

About the Pandemic Project

We are opening up the Pandemic Art Project category for student entries. We are inviting students to share what you have created during this pandemic experience, as an expression of these trying times.  We also offer students to include the story behind the art.  We will be enriched all the more for your sharing with our festival viewers.  We do not have a deadline for local high school art entries, but the closer to the October dates when the Festival of the Arts is live, the more exposure for your artwork.

Permission to Display

Parent or Parent Guardian consent must accompany each student entry.  This  consent gives Charbonneau Arts your approval to use your minor child’s artwork in the student art section of the virtual art gallery and to help promote this year’s Festival of the Arts.  All copyrights remain with the entering artist.

I understand that neither my minor child or I will receive compensation for displaying the artwork online as a part of this year’s festival.  The Charbonneau Arts Association, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization does not trade, sell or share information below or make solicitations based on it.  Proceeds from our annual fundraiser support both Canby and Wilsonville High School art departments.
