Toward the end of the year (November & December), you can double the impact of your tax-deductible donation. Thanks to several generous board members and other supporters, a matching fund is created which can only be utilized if there are other community members and businesses who will pledge a donation of any size, and it will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to whatever is stated as the match target.  In past years, the total of the matching fund and the matching donations equaled about $5,000.  Each year the Matching Donation Challenge is one of our major fund-raising activities.
